Welcome
In
the middle of the Golden Triangle in Washington, DC, blocks from the
White House, a boutique law firm strives to provide excellent legal
service which focuses on complex litigation, including white collar
criminal defense, employment law claims and investor rights and has
recently added Attorney Robert Allen Ragland who has a wealth of
knowledge and experience in the corporate and high net worth
individuals legal needs.
The firm began
in October 2001 in Washington, DC a few blocks from its current
location. It expanded to New York State creating another office in
Orangeville, NY and now is proud to announce Mr. Robert Ragland's
affiliation that will complement the office's practice area and add
expertise in Private Philanthropy, Family Foundations, Tax Exempt and
Non-profit Organizations, Wills, Trusts and Estates, Financial Services
and Banking Taxation law.
Although
a little larger, it still retains its boutique nature that provides
legal services to clients with a high level of expertise at a fair level
of compensation.
Mr.
Zampogna is a former New York State Assistant District Attorney who has
litigated before judges and juries for more than 18 years. Recently, he
was considered for the position of District Attorney in Western New
York State (see Buffalo News Article May 22, 2008). His experienced
representation has included individuals accused of crimes, students,
government workers, executives and other workers from all walks of life.
He frequently lectures on topics related to fraud in corporate
America. In court, he won many cases others have chosen to ignore,
for instance, in New Jersey Middlesex Court; he defeated a jury waiver
clause in a complex litigation, a first of its kind in the state. In
arbitration, he won a churning claim against Morgan Stanley with no net
loss; a rare win when the client broke even on their investment.
He was one of the speakers at the NACM national convention in Phoenix, AZ on the aforementioned issue. He has also been interviewed on Forbes Radio on the topic of investor fraud (www.skyradionet.com/index.cfm) which can be heard on the law firm's blog (www.zamppc.blogspot.com).
He lectures at Georgetown University (www.georgetown.edu), Columbus School of Law, (www.law.edu),
and the United States Department of Justice Honors program in the
practice areas of legal research and writing, alternative dispute
resolution, and employment law.
He serves as treasurer for the Bar Association of the District of Columbia (www.badc.org). He is editor in chief of its publication, Journal of the DC Bar Association.
